Yes Green Roofs!

With climate change, the urban heat island effect and flooding have become substantial challenges. As a result, green roofs are increasingly implemented for energy and stormwater management in cities around the world. The Onondaga County Convention Center green roof is located in Syracuse, NY. It has been monitored since 2014 by the research group of Professor Cliff Davidson. The research focus on hydrology, chemistry and energy. The long term monitoring program can improve knowledge of the performance of green roofs that have no instrumentation and assist green roof designers.
